Week Four (June 22-28)

The Rockport Chamber Music

Festival presents Composer Matthew Aucoin, Emmanuel Music, Peter Serkin and much more. On Tuesday, June 23, young composer Matthew Aucoin performs a recital of his chamber works. On Thursday, June 25, the Boston Symphony Chamber Players perform with legendary pianist Emanuel Ax in a program of Schumann, Copland and Mozart. On Friday, June 26, Emmanuel Music joins with pianist Andrew Rangell in a program of works by Bach and Handel. On Saturday, June 27, pianists Peter Serkin & Julia Hsu perform a duo-piano recital of works by Schumann, Schubert, Bizet, Mozart and Brahms.On Sunday, June 28, the Cuarteto Latinoamericano, known worldwide as the leading proponent of Latin American music for string quartet, performs in the Rockport Chamber Music Festival.

Week Five (July 7-12)

The Rockport Chamber Music Festival’s Final Weekend brings Anonymous 4, Richard Stoltzman, the Escher Quartet and more. On Tuesday, July 7 at 7:30 pm, cellist Cicely Parnas and pianist Noreen Polera make their Rockport Music debut. After 25 years as a leading a capella ensemble, on Thursday, July 9 at 8 pm, Anonymous 4 will perform in the Rockport Chamber Music Festival as part of their final tour. On Friday, July 10 at 8 pm, two-time Grammy Award-winning clarinetist Richard Stoltzman joins with acclaimed composer and pianist Yehudi Wyner and Rockport Chamber Music Festival Artistic Director and pianist David Deveau for a program of Schumann, Brahms, Hindemith and many more. The Escher String Quartet performs twice in the final weekend-on Saturday, July 11 at 8 pm with pianist Gilles Vonsattel and Sunday, July 12 at 5 pm with flutist Carol Wincenc.
