Cape Ann SpringLife: The “Buoys” are Back!

Rockport, MASpring is a special time of year on Cape Ann, as this season marks the return of what draws many of Cape Ann.

This is when whale-watching, fishing charter and pleasure boats begin to reappear on our docks, and we watch the fishermen at work.

The restaurants will be dusting off their outdoor tables, and we see shorts and tee-shirts on the beach and the first buds in the trees and flowerbeds.

There will be, artists with their easels along the riverfronts and marshes, and couples strolling through downtown shops and galleries.

There’s something for everyone on Cape Ann in the spring.

Perhaps you’d like to can get up early and watch the sun rise over Gloucester’s Good Harbor Beach, or head to Masconomo Park in Manchester-by-the-sea to check out the boats in the harbor. You can visit Essex and enjoy their famous fried clams or wander along Rockport’s Bearskin Neck.
